The Mary Lyons Cemetery was located in the southwest corner of N.W. 63rd Street and North
Villa Avenue in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. This Cemetery no longer exists.
Mary E. Lyons deeded 5 acres of land on 63rd Street in Oklahoma City to the Methodist Episcopal Church South.
The Northeast corner of the land was to be for a grave yard. After many yeasrs it was no longer used for
new burials and it was in a neglected condition. In 1968 the surviving family members agreed to disinter the cemetery.
Approximately 48 of the graves were moved to the Garden of Repose section of Rose Hill Burial Park.
An unknown number of other graves were moved to other cemeteries chosen by the families.
Residential condominiums and duplexes were then built on the land.
The Cemetery has been named Mary Lyons Cemetery, Methodist Cemetery, and 63rd Street Cemetery.
